Small bundles of raffia have been woven into the cotton piece across the entire width of these lightweight rugs using a unique technique. The mud of the Niger River is the main ingredient for the black colour. The carpet is dotted with small white dots, circles, lines and crosses - like a night sky with countless stars. The underside of the fabric is not coated, so the carpet is a purely natural product.
